The Power of Planning, Organisation, and Research

planning a wedding

In today's fast-paced world, where everything seems to happen in an instant, planning, being organised, and doing thorough research are invaluable traits that help us stay ahead. Being organised seems to be ingrained in me and it flows through my every day life. There's a fine balance of being organised (and a 'Monica') you don't want to take all the fun out of it, but to know that you are heading in the right direction, you aren't wasting your time, money or experience - that's all we really want to know. The rest will then just fall into place.

For instance, when I planned my wedding day I had spreadsheets for guests and food count along with docs on our timeline and a physical planner for a monthly stages of where we should be with our planning - a tick list, keeping us on track. Fortunately I knew the in's and out's of a wedding after photographing almost 200 at that point. But I still had to educate myself on some elements and also my husband to be and our bridal party and guests. With everything planned and in place, it enabled us to completely let go on our wedding day knowing it was all going to flow and be taken care of. Which it was. But without educating those who needed it and the carefull planning - I can guarantee there would have been a few hiccups.

I'm not a Phoebe and I'm not a Monica, I'm somewhere in between - being logical and aware means having an idea of what to expect but also not knowing the complete experience without having actually gone through it, allows me to be in the moment and free. Much like when booking a holiday, I get anxious If I havn't compared with multiple websites or looked into travel blogs for niche and cultural things to see and do. It helps me visualise where I'm going and roughly what to expect. I then take that to shape my own trip with a guide into how I want my holiday to look and feel knowing I've chosen the right destination means when I get there, whatever I see and do, I'm going to have a great time.

Being this type of person has certainly found it's way into how I run my business and communicate with my clients. I know hands down how important it is to get it right and how it feels when you get it wrong. There's a story there which I won't go into, another time maybe…

So as I run my business, I firmly believe that these qualities are essential in providing the services that cater to my clients' needs to give you the best experience you could possibly ask for and help guide you into making the right decisions. So you can then sit back, relax and know the experience coming is going to be incredible.

The Importance of Planning

Planning is the foundation of success in any endeavour, and photography is no exception. Whether it is capturing a wedding, a family portrait, or a branding session for your business, careful planning plays a significant role in delivering the best results. Before each photoshoot, I invest time and effort into understanding your vision and requirements as well as learning about your personality and your story as well as your Why. By planning and researching, I ensure that the moments aren't missed, your vision is understood and your gallery represents you and no one else.

The Power of Organisation

Organising my workflow for each client for a seamless experience is key. From managing your enquiries and meetings, scheduling shoots, designing your albums, editing time and preparing my gear and set up, organisation allows me to provide an efficient experience for you. By maintaining a well-structured workflow, I can focus on delivering a high-quality experience and ultimately treasured photographs without any unnecessary hurdles. Ultimately, it is my organisational skills that enable me to consistently provide a smooth and hassle-free photography experience - taking those extra tasks off your hands!

The Art of Research

Research is a fundamental aspect when you are booking your photographer or any supplier for your event. To help you not feel overloaded by information I like to break down advise into chunks. Offering insights with blog posts, downloads and dropping in tips when the time is right. Giving you a balanced dose of information to tick off at the best time.

Providing Information and Options for Booking

One of the greatest benefits of being organised is the ability to provide my clients with detailed information and options when it comes to booking my photography services. From packages to pricing, availability, and customisations, I ensure that all necessary information is readily available to assist you in making informed decisions.

So, if you are searching for a photographer who values your vision and understands the importance of being prepared, organised, and well-researched, look no further. Booking my photography services will ensure that your memories are beautifully captured with the utmost attention to detail.
