Lavinia and Alvin, a newly married couple hailing from Romania and now residing in Devon, recently approached me for a post-wedding bridal portrait session. They were eager to dress up once again in their wedding attire and give themselves more time to capture the essence of their love story in a picturesque setting. It was truly a pleasure to work with this beautiful couple and create some stunning images that would serve as a timeless reminder of their special day.
Lavinia, being the enthusiastic and detail-oriented bride that she is, even went to the extent of purchasing a stunning new dress for this exclusive photo shoot and created her own bouquet. And let me tell you, it was nothing short of breathtaking! Alvin, on the other hand, donned his on the day wedding suit that made him look like a true prince. The attention to detail and the level of sophistication in their outfits were simply stunning.
They were after a manor house / fairytale like setting for their photoshoot in Plymouth to go alongside their outfits and the experience they already had with their wedding day. I scouted many local, grand houses and we were fortunate to find something with a mixture of building and greenery. We chose Saltram House in Plymouth, Devon as the backdrop for their post-wedding bridal portraits, as it provided a perfect blend of natural beauty and elegant, regal charm. The lush, flourishing gardens and historic architecture added a touch of romance and serenity to their story. It was evident that Lavinia and Alvin were completely at ease with each other, as their eyes sparkled with love and joy throughout the entire photo shoot.
One of the significant advantages of post-wedding bridal portraits is the lack of time constraints. Unlike the wedding day itself, where time seems to fly by in the blink of an eye, this post-wedding session allowed us to take our time and capture those picture-perfect moments without any pressure. Lavinia and Alvin were able to relax, enjoy each other's company, and truly be themselves in front of the camera.
