Frequently Asked QUESTIONS

  • I recommend booking 3–12 months in advance for portrait and branding sessions, as I take on a limited number of clients each month to provide a highly personalised experience.

If you have a specific date in mind, please get in touch as early as possible. Occasionally last-minute availability may open up.

  • After your enquiry, we will arrange a short consultation to discuss your ideas, the type of portraits you would like to create, and how you want to be photographed.

From there we begin planning your session together, including styling, concept, and preparation so you feel completely ready for the experience.

  • Yes, completely. With over 18 years of experience, I guide every client through the session so you never feel unsure of what to do. I use a technique called flow posing, which allows us to move naturally between poses and moments while capturing you at your best. Rather than feeling posed, the experience often feels more like gentle movement and direction, creating images that feel both natural and refined.

  • You will receive a styling guide to help you prepare for your session.

During your consultation I will also help you select wardrobe options from your own collection that photograph beautifully and align with the vision for your shoot.

A personal styling service can also be added to your experience if you would like curated outfits sourced specifically for your session.

  • Yes, absolutely. You are welcome to include your partner or loved ones in your portraits.

We will discuss who you would like to include during your consultation so the session can be designed around you.

  • Portrait sessions usually last 1–4 hours depending on the experience and outfit changes.
Branding sessions may be longer depending on the number of looks and concepts we are creating.

  • Your edited images are typically ready within 2–3 weeks after your session.
You will receive a private online gallery where you can view your photographs and select your favourites.

  • Yes. All selected images are professionally edited.

My approach to retouching is natural and timeless, refining details such as flyaway hairs, clothing creases, and any small distractions so the focus remains on you. Each image is carefully finished to ensure it looks beautiful both digitally and when printed as fine art pieces such as albums, wall art, and archival prints.

However, I do not alter body shape or fundamentally change how someone looks. The aim is always to present you at your best while remaining authentic.

Professional hair and makeup can make a significant difference on camera, which is why I often recommend working with experienced artists who understand lighting and photography.

  • Your session is secured with a booking payment via bank transfer.

Remaining payments are split into instalments depending on the type of session. Invoices and payment records are always available in your private client portal.

After your session, prints, wall art and albums can be purchased through your online gallery using card or PayPal.

  • Many sessions take place in my Devon studio, which offers a calm and private environment for portrait and branding photography.

I also photograph on location across the UK. Travel and production costs are discussed during the planning stage.
