Today, I want to share with you a personal experience that reminded me of the beauty and importance of capturing life's precious moments through photography.

Last week, while organising my belongings, I stumbled upon a treasure trove of memories - thousands, and I mean thousands, of 6x4 printed photos neatly arranged in slide-in albums. Each photo had little notes written by me from as early as 6 years old! Serving as a roadmap to the past. As I took the time to preserve them in a more efficient way, something magical happened.

As I stumbled on a journey down memory lane, each year I delved into transported me back to that specific time and place. I could feel everything - the emotions, sensations, and the people who were a part of those moments. It was a true experience of nostalgia, and it brought immense joy to my heart.

Reflecting on those photographs made me realise how far I have come and the incredible people I have met along the way. It was a profound reminder of the obstacles I overcame and the life milestones I achieved. It felt like stepping off a rollercoaster and taking a moment to regain my bearings as I reached the end of the prints.

I couldn't help but appreciate the transformation I've undergone and the sheer joy of being able to look back on my entire life, reliving the most incredible moments. Time may be unyielding, but with every photo, I can be transported back - if only for a moment - to feel the warmth, happiness, and significance of those memories. And what makes it even more magical is the ability to share these cherished moments with those who weren't there to experience them firsthand.
