Rach & Scott
I was fortunate to document Rach & Scott's elopement wedding over two days at the beautiful Georgian house that is Kingston Estate in Totnes, Devon.
I photographed their marriage to each other on the first day around an intimate number of guests and their dog Baxter! Relaxed preparations were underway when i arrived which followed swiftly to their chilled out ceremony.
One of the couples Pre Wed photos used to decorate the ceremony. ^
After some welcome drinks and formal photos in front of the house, i took the bride and groom around the grounds for their portraits in the afternoon spring sun.
The second day started with 'The beast from the East' Part II ! Totally opposite from the day before but none the less it was another wonderful day. A lot more was happening on this day with Rach's bridesmaids at her side helping her get ready.
A little bit of dutch courage before heading down to the ceremony in front of all her friends and family.
The blessing was held by the Groom's mother who gave a traditional scottish blessing in front of the couple's close friends and family. With another tradition of drinking whiskey and passing it round all the guests!
The reception was under way with Ice cream and a caricaturist to keep the guests entertained.
The bride and her rugby girlfriends through the rugby ball instead of the bouquet!
I took the bride and groom out for their second run of bridal portraits and this time it was in the snow!
Their evening started in the glamorous and beautifully decorated yurt, covered with Irish themes due to taking place on St Patrick's Day! After their meal they were entertained again by the caricaturist and magician.
Pie and mash were served all round and more food was served from a crepe van and hot drinks vendor.
Blankets were provided for all the guests and they went pretty quick what with it snowing!
Dessert consisted of the couples Cheese Wedding Cake and local farm and bake goods.
The evening started to build up with a championship ping pong game between the boys and the girls of the wedding party.
My night ended when the guests all moved to the Undercroft where the party started. Photo booth and plenty of dancing into the night with entrainment from a live band.
