I wanted a maternity/motherhood photoshoot for my second pregnancy as my first pregnancy was spent in isolation due to the COVID pandemic; the only pictures I have from my first pregnancy are very poor-quality selfies.
Another really important reason for me to do the shoot was after struggling with eating disorders in my early twenties and working extremely hard to overcome the negative self-image that was ingrained in me from a young age, I wanted to celebrate my body exactly as it is; curves, cellulite, jiggly bits and all! And especially so whilst it was doing something amazing for me, for the second time.”

She was and still is so supportive of my reasons for wanting the shoot and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and, most importantly, empowered. I wasn’t sure how I would feel during the shoot (especially since I was struggling with a negative body image that week - it never truly leaves you and is a constant work-in-progress), but Emma immediately put me at ease, asked me what music I would like on during the shoot (Beyoncé, obviously) and, as soon as I got in front of the camera, I felt strong, empowered and had so much fun!”

The photos are beyond what I could have expected and I am so grateful to Emma for providing me and my family with such incredible pictures to cherish forever. They will serve as a constant reminder of how amazing the female body is - how amazing my body is - for both myself and my two daughters. That is priceless!
